I live upstate ny, west of Kingston and it was reported that we were going to get eleven inchs of rain. If that had happened, upstate would not be here, literlly. Towns up here, last autumn were literally washed away. This area is still recovering. A beautiful wooden bridge, 210 feet in length in blenheim was washed away by houses that were washed off of their foundations.There is no fema money for that historic bridge. if you should go to the museum in Middleburg, you will see a part of that bridge sign that was ripped by the flood. That was a year ago. With this storm we had high winds and maybe and inch of rain, maybe a little more, fortunately. The winds here reached 60 70 mph, but downstate got slammed. lots of prayers are being offered for lot of people. Hang in their guys and help one another.

All of those that I have loved are gone. It's a void. It's a time where the time of the day comes and I am just alone. I've been in a store, like wallymarts or jcp and I see people or a lot of people and I say, what the hell am I doing here? Where do I belong? I meet people, I talk to people, but none of them are friends. I don't think that anyone has friends today. No one! You meet people on the net and there is no contact, no sincerity, no response, nothing. It seems like we are all like shadows passing one another. It's one hell of a void. I can honestly say that. I want to walk on a beach, alone and just vaporize. The kicker is, I can't swim and I am afraid of the water and the ocean. I got seasick on a ferry.

DeleteYou might want to talk to your doctor about a trial of antidepressants. They really do help and can buy you the space and give you the energy to reconnect. Because that's what we ALL need more than anything...to feel connected.
A site like this is about sex but even deeper than that it's really about a human connection and that doesn't HAVE to come thru sex. In fact, sometimes sex is the most DIFFICULT place to find that connection.
Have you thought of volunteering someplace? Do you have an interest? Some particular activity or thing you love to do when you're feeling good? If you do, that's a great place to start. You'll meet people with similar interests. That's the best place to meet people you CAN connect with. Is there a hospital in your area? Or an animal shelter? Those are other great places to meet GOOD people who are caring and looking for something more lasting than a quick blow and go. Those things can be great for a moment and leave you emptier than you were before.....
One thing you MUST know is you are NOT alone. You simply haven't met the person/people that you can develop that relationship with. And I'm NOT talking about a romantic or sexual relationship...Sometimes those are the hardest and most ephemeral relationships to sustain. Look for something MORE than that...something that doesn't depend on external things like how hot they are or you are but depends on the kind of PERSON they are.

Yeah. I'm ok. Just this feeling of down in the dumps. It's strange, at times I don't want to come home to my own house. Last night went to bed around 7.30 and listened to the radio and thought of times past. It's a another day, not new, but another one. Everything will be fine. Thanks for your replies. DeleteSometimes though, for guys like us, I think we're kind of in "no man's land" because guys who are 100% straight don't understand us and guys who are 100% gay don't understand it. I have been fortunate enough to gain some friends through this blog who are guys like me. But I have also lost some of these friends for reasons unknown to me - they just quit emailing. And that does feel damn lonely because there is nobody I know and trust to talk to face to face. My best friends - and I mean this - are on the internet and when I can't reach them or they just disappear, it's a very lonely feeling.
Has this happened to anyone else? Scott used to kind of keep everyone hanging together as a group. But he's been gone a long time now, and there hasn't been anyone like him come along that can do the same thing.
If anyone else can relate to what I'm saying maybe you'll post a reply.
